Water Soluble CBD
After 2 years of research & development, Kazmira is Introducing Plasma™ to the CBD market, the world’s first true Water Soluble CBD product.
Plasma™ was developed by considering:
(1) Market need for a true Water Soluble CBD product
(2) Extensive customer feedback
Plasma is a process concentrate, and not a ready to drink beverage
How does Kazmira’s Plasma™ – Water Soluble CBD match up against competitor water soluble products?

[1]Kazmira’s Water Soluble CBD mixture composition is comparable to salt or sugar in water while colloidal compositions are comparable to milk in water, suspension is comparable to oil in water, and emulsion is comparable to soap and oil in water. For this reason, mixture compositions that use colloidal, suspension, or emulsion are not ideal for end formulations.
[2] Plasma™ is especially developed to allow end-formulators to use Plasma™ in bottles that have been heated or cooled per their needs. Competitor water soluble CBD may degrade with increases or decreases in temperature.
What is water soluble CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is hydrophobic and mixes well with oil, but not water. Rudimentary knowledge of chemistry reminds us that oil and water do not mix. This is because water and compounds that water dissolves in are hydrophilic (water-loving) while oil and compounds that mix with oil are hydrophobic (water-resistant). Thus hydrophobic molecules can be defined as those that do not mix with water.
All cannabinoids do not dissolve in water (i.e, are hydrophobic) and resist absorption into the bloodstream. This is especially true for CBD Isolate, which is pure CBD (99%+) in crystalline form.
This was a thorn in the side of formulators who have wanted to expand their product range. Kazmira’s scientists have overcome this solubility dilemma for CBD and introduced Plasma™️ to the market.
Why is water soluble CBD important?
Over the last year, water-soluble CBD has increased in demand. The ability of a water-soluble CBD allows our customers to create end-products that tailor to savvy consumers who consume functional foods. Functional foods allow for portability and convenience.
A water-soluble CBD product is also more efficient due to its bioavailability. This efficiency translates to a more affordable product for the end-consumer.
The wide appeal of a water-soluble cannabidiol is mainly because of the product’s:
- Bioavailability – The fraction of administered dose that actually reaches systemic circulation.
- CBD is fat soluble/hydrophobic
- Breadth of possible product formulations
- Allows unprecedented access into the Functional Beverage Market.
- Introducing water-soluble cannabinoids to a diverse array of foods.
- Customer Preference
- Consistent and measurable CBD control.
- Increased convenience and portability with drinks
- No noticeable impact on flavor, consistency, texture, or appearance
- Easy for customers. They don’t need any specialized knowledge to use the end-product.
Why Plasma™?
Our P.h.D. formulation scientists, with the help of customer feedback, have developed an advanced water soluble CBD product that is
- Water-Based (NOT oil-based). Other, CBD Water Soluble suppliers use oil-based emulsifiers. Kazmira DOES NOT! We do not use surfactants or emulsifiers such as polysorbate or lecithin, or any liposomes including phospholipids or micelles.
- Completely clear & transparent and not hazy or translucent.
- Higher bioavailability.
- Has high-shelf life stability (because of its water-base).
- Particle size is small and consistent (<5 nanometer).
- Utilizes CBD Isolate Max™, which contains CBDV & 7-10 terpenes
- No need for Glycerin, lecithin, solvents, detergents, or phospholipids.
- Much easier to mask CBD bitterness
Note: Plasma is a process concentrate, and not a ready to drink beverage
